Help him… to clean skin

Help him... to clean skin men grooming I am not sure how successful for you gals to convince your men for skin care. I tried quite hard. Due to my sensitivity for the skin, when I started dating, I always tried to see what condition the guys’ skin are, what products they use (or not at all), what level of receptiveness of them to consider using the products that I prefer… a bit ‘sick’, I know. Just can’t help it. My bf was very reluctant of using any skin-care products when he first met me & he thought that’s too feminine. Over time, I gradually influenced him of trying bit by bit, now he buys the products himself. He constantly ‘complain’ that I got him ‘hooked’—his skin now used to get moisturized every day. BUT isn’t this a good thing? I think for men, the most crucial 2 things are cleaning and moisturizing. Since in general, they don’t want to put anything on the face, so the simpler the better, at least from the start. Today -Sunday, unfortunately raining all the time. So I decided to do some facial treatment on him. He got this ‘strawberry’ nose, a lot of black head. I let him lie down on the sofa, put on some relaxing music, then start cleaning his face, then use my tools trying to squeeze out the nasty thing on his nose. However, as I expected, he could not take the pain. OH man! Eventually, after a few rounds of convincing, refusing, seducing, refusing… I gave up. Just use my Dermalogica cream exfoliant, scrub a bit of his face, then put on some thin sliced cucumber for soothing purpose. In the end, I applied my Clarins Pure and Radiant Mask. Done. He did say his skin felt refreshed after the facial. Thanks God. Help him... to clean skin men grooming

Convincing guys to use skincare is a tough gig. Plain, masculine packaging definitely helps. The less fragrance the better. Regardless of all your hard efforts, you are more than likely going to end up with a bathroom full of unused products.

Showing the direct implications of not using skincare is an effective way for convincing him to use skincare, particularly sunscreen. After he has witnessed that his youthful charm won’t last forever, you can start hoarding skincare products for him.

    I recommend:

Alpha-H Daily Essential Moisturiser SPF 30 – Day

    Matte-finish, non-greasy, unscented sunscreen – perfect for normal/oily skin.

    American Crew Daily Shampoo

Absorbs oil, completely gets rid of hair products and doesn’t leave hair flat. The only downside is that it contains SLS.

    Anthony Logistics Clay Mask

Excellent mask that is packed with vitamins (A, C, E) and organic ingredients. No fragrance but has a natural earthy scent due to the product’s natural ingredients. Great for pores, normal/oily skin.

    Billy Jealousy Sucker Punch Scrub

Excellent scrub that gets rid of dead skin cells without damaging the skin. The scrub consists of organic ingredients but it does have some fragrance in it.

    Cetaphil Moisturising Lotion – Night

Excellent drug-store moisturiser. Not too heavy, works well with serums and other treatments. Tested on animals but a great product for normal/oily skin if you don’t mind losing your conscience.

    Clinique For Men Eye Hydrator

Non-greasy eye product – a male alternative for Clinique’s All About Eyes. Works well in eliminating dark circles and wrinkles.

Jack Black All-In-One (Face, Hair, Body) Wash – Gym

Excellent multi-purpose wash for the gym or for the guy who doesn’t have time to be pampered. It’s quite cheap (contains SLS) which is why this product lacks vitamins and natural ingredients, but nonetheless, it’s a great alternative for someone on-the-go.
