Earth Hour – One hour to give your skin a boost!
Earth Hour is a worldwide event that is organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and is held on the last Saturday of March annually, encouraging households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights for one hour to raise awareness about the need to take action on climate change. This year’s Earth hour is upcoming this Sat. from 8:30pm to 9:30 pm.
What are you going to do for this hour? Hmmm, actually this is a great opportunity to give your skin some extra care. I suggest you focus on moisturizing, since we have 1 hour, long enough to give skin real boost!
1. Getting Ready:
8:10pm – have a quick shower. 🙂
8:20pm – start boiling some water in a pot. while waiting for the water, get your essential oil (or massage cream), mask by your side (sofa, lounge or bed, wherever you are going to spend the next hour), avoid walking around after you turn off the lights, also some tissue box handy. You can also start the incense or play some music to create a relaxing environment.
8:26pm – start steam your face with the boil water. be careful not too close to burn.
2. Lights Off!!!
8:30pm – put the towel in the hot water and get on your face to further the steaming process. Wait it getting a bit cooler, take it off, then use essential oil or massage cream to start massage your face. You can find the massage method in my older post touch your face.
9:00pm – after massage, put on some moisturizing mask. Then lie back and relax!
Skinstitut Hydrating Mask – Facial company price around $30+
3. Lights On:
9:30pm – remove the mask and apply your favourite moisturizer, haha! you are done! Check out that beautiful YOU in the mirror! Soft & glowing skin! So, what’s next?
Oh well, I will suggest you to go for an early sleep to make the effect even stronger. BUT, if you don’t like my ‘older-generation’ advice, maybe you can put on some light make up and go out to have some Fun with friends! Remember, don’t stay up too late. you need the beauty sleep! get back by 12 midnight, please! 🙂
