Food, food, food
I have to say I am a total food lover. I eat 5 times a day. I never forget breakfast, or lunch or dinner. I ask friends who always skip meals for advice or tips to do the same, but never succeed—my brain will remind me all the time ‘you haven’t had brekkie, hurry up and eat!” So I gave up trying. Luckily my body is not too bad…lol…my theory is don’t force yourself to eat or not to eat, just listen to your body.
Ok, although we love food, you need to be responsible for what you eat. I normally eat healthy, junk food at least once or twice a week, but I don’t mind. For different purpose, I would choose some functional food, such as drink coffee to keep me awake.
Now talk something about wrinkle. Of course what you eat will affect how you look. For food that are high in antioxidants help counteract a decrease in collagen, firmness and elasticity in aging skin. I read some articles talking about tomatoes are an excellent wrinkle prevention food because they contain lycopene, a substance that also decreases the risk of developing cancer. Red peppers have heaps of Vitamin A and E, as well as biofalvonoids, which moisturize and heal the skin. Beets and carrots are also great for the idea to prevent wrinkles.
I love all the berries actually, blackberries, blueberries are excellent source of antioxidants. When you go grocery shopping, don’t forget to grab a box of berries, eat a few each day, leaving you feel refreshed and energised.
Fish are always good, especially Salmon, which contains a high amount of omega-3 fatty acids that reduces inflammation and lubricates the skin. Once a week is good for me since I always want variety of food. As a personal habit, I like to buy a big piece of salmon, eat sashimi first (yum!) for lunch, then marinated the rest for grilled salmon steak for dinner.
As we Australian, who cant’ live without alcohol. Moderate is still important to remember. I normally drink only on weekend, maybe from 4-8 glasses depends on occasion. I know, it sounds a bit scary. But you have to balance your consumption, if you know that you will drink a bit more this weekend, try to avoid next weekend. If you drink on week days, just take it easy on weekend.
Last but not least, try not to smoke & drink enough water in order to keep your skin looking young and wrinkle free!
