Looking at myself and friends around me, I would like to reiterate the importance of water.
Many times, you would ignore this crucial element in our life, however, ignorance always has consequence. In this context, you will feel tired, thirsty & lack of energy. The worst, some fine lines would appear on your skin. OK, those fine lines have nothing to do with aging problem, they show up only because your skin is crying out for a good drink.
If your skin is properly nourished, it can absorb your other lotions & potions. This not only apply to just dry skin, oily skin can get dehydrated, too. Caffeine, carbonated drinks, alcohol and the environment all wreak havoc on your skin’s moisture levels and this can show itself in the form of fine lines and reduced elasticity in all skin types. Hence, if you can’t 100% quit all these ‘tasty’ liquid, at least have some pure water in between consumption.
To help the hydration process, it is important to exfoliate to remove dead skin cells and make way for the new, hydrated cells. All the moisturizer (cheap or expensive, eastern or western) in the world isn’t going to be of any help if it can’t get past those dead cells. How many times? normally once a week or once every fortnight, depends on your skin type.
